1. How I should prepare my hair before come to my appointment?
• Dry
• Clean
• Wash your hair 2 days before your appointment
• Brushed, remove any knots
• Straight hair if curly
• No products in
2. How long does my hair have to be to be braided?
• Top Braids or Side Braids (same for man) - your hair must be longer than 8cm but it’s better to send us a photo first.
• Dutch Braids without Extensions – shoulder-length hair, if they are shorter, we will recommend different styles of braids.
• Dutch Braids adding Extensions – If the braid ends over the length of your hair, you may have some bits out of place.
We always recommend for you to send us a photo first prior to making a booking to ensure you are choosing the right style for you.
3. Can I go swimming or have a shower with braids?
This is Important advice to follow if you want your braids to last longer and remain smooth otherwise use a shower cap.
4. How long will my braids last?
Micro braids: last for a month or more.
Dutch braids without extensions: last between 4 to 7 days when they are tight, 2 to 4 days when they are looser or pulled out.
Dutch braids with extensions: last between 7 to 10 days when they are tight, for short or thick hair the braids last between 5 to 7 days.
Cornrows: the smaller they are the longer they last - (between 2 weeks or more)
The more you take care of your braids, the longer they last.
5. How do I maintain them?
• Do not get the braids wet
• Apply Gel and hair spray, if you need use also wax to fix any bits out of the braids.
